Not enough staff with adequate knowledge. Had to wait for an hour to collect car. Our luggage wouldn’t fit so then had to wait for another car. Still had problems getting our luggage in and we found out later the boot had another layer! Also we weren’t given any instruction of how to use the sat nav. So couldn’t get any sound on it.

Battery went dead on day 4, meaning I was carless for the day and wasted time/cancelled plans, whilst I tried to figure what was wrong and wait for help. No one answers the phone on the contact numbers they provided at the desk/on paperwork. Company refused to provide even a partial refund on the rental, giving the reason that I accepted the car.

The office staff were very keen to up sell me excess insurance, even though I told them I already had it at a much better rate. They were very pushy and not very courteous. After driving the car for approx 50 miles on the M25, I went to clean the windscreen as it was covered in dead flies & general dust to find it was empty. However the wipers had now smeared the flies all over the windscreen, so I had to deviate from my journey to make a stop to clean the windscreen - it was too bad to continue. On return I queried this with them to be told it must have a leak. The vehicle wasn't even 12 months old. The car clearly hadn't been checked. I wont be using this car hire company again. I actually think it's illegal to drive a car without adequate way to clear the windscreen. Potentially different on your own car as you could have run out on the journey but not when you are paying hundreds of pounds & expect it to have been checked.

Agent showed me 3/8 full fuel tank but failed to record this on the hire. I am currently being pursued for a Fuel Top Up Fee. Not happy

Excellent, friendly service from Enterprise van rental staff at both ends of a 24h, one-way van rental to help my daughter move home. Great vehicle, thorough handover. Can’t fault Enterprise, happy to recommend.

Staff were first class & very helpful indeed, couldn’t fault them. Car was a wreck, 5 years old , 70 km on clock, damage ( which was recorded by company) all over & carpets torn. Now this suited me , but I’m sure not everyone! On return however car was fully examined all over for further damage! If previous renters had presumably lost their damage deposit why had the car not been repaired?

Advert said VW Golf or similar - we got an Opel Crossland, I guess that is sort of similar but was disappointed it wasn’t a Golf. Pick-up process was ok at the desk but you have to walk about 100m from the desk to the other end of the car park to collect the car. They check the car over with a diagram of the car to note any imperfections (there weren’t any on our Crossland, which was fairly new, only 3000 Km on the clock). Then we got the keys and tried to exit the car park but couldn’t get out. After three walks from the desk to the car park to the barrier we finally got out by following one of the Enterprise members of staff through the barrier. That delayed our departure by about 15 minutes. The car was good, return process was easy but again somewhat delayed because we had to wait for a member of staff. I’d recommend them but make sure you’re not in too much of a hurry.
