Whenever you hire a van, much like a car, the vehicle will include comprehensive insurance with third party liability and theft. What you won’t get, is a zero excess on damage you cause during the hire period. Usually for a van hire, this excess could be up to £1500 which you’d have to pay regardless of circumstances – our excess policy will reimburse the costs you incur as a result damage you cause.
Every so often, hiring a van is the way to go. Whether you’re moving to a new house, or heading to the recycling centre – our van hire excess insurance will provide you with the protection you need. Our van hire excess will cover you anywhere in the UK and as with our other policies will include cover for tyres, windscreens, under-carriage and chassis. Our policy is perfect for single hire periods - offering you up to 30 days worth of protections, plenty of time for you to get what to need to do done. With our great 10% off introductory offer, our van hire excess insurance is available from as little as £4.86 per day.
We will reimburse the full amount deducted from your card by the car rental company for damage to the car, up to the limit on your policy.
Standard cover limit of up to £10,000 for excess reimbursement (including admin fees) and up to £1,000 for towing costs.
The cover includes damage to the tyres, windscreens, undercarriage, misfuelling and towing costs of the rental vehicle.
Up to 8 additional drivers named on the car rental agreement are covered automatically provided they are between 21-84 years of age and hold a valid driving licence.

2. THEY PRE-AUTHORISE YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR THE VALUE OF THE EXCESS
3. COLLECT YOUR VAN NOTING ALL EXISTING DAMAGE ON THE FORM AND TAKE PICTURES OF ANY DAMAGE.
4. ENJOY YOUR TRIP KNOWING YOU’VE PAID A GREAT PRICE TO COVER YOUR EXCESS.
5. RETURN THE VAN CHECKING IT OVER WITH THE REP WHO WILL THEN CONFIRM IF THERE IS ANY EXCESS TO PAY.
6. IF THERE IS NEW DAMAGE YOU PAY UP TO YOUR EXCESS AND GET A RECEIPT.
7. LEAVE THE DESK HAPPY KNOWING THAT YOUR ReduceMyExcess WILL REIMBURSE THE EXCESS CHARGE.
